A standard blockboard is a panel with a solid wood core, which may then be glued and overlaid with a cross grain rotary veneer or with chipboard or MDF. We generally use pine for the core, but can on request also deliver blockboards with a poplar core. The specific product structure used for blockboards means that the finished product may be labelled as 'solid wood'. It takes screws almost as well as solid wood, and other working parameters are as good.
